(Sialhaith is a Venus-type world, so orbit-divers need to be caught mid-air while they’re still at the pleasantly habitable “aerostat” level of the atmosphere, because falling all the way down to the surface involves dissolving while on fire.)

Ah, so it’s a 2-for-1. While one party gets to experience Extreme Skydiving, another gets to experience Extreme Fishing. Or crabbing, that’s probably closer.
Interesting, I’d think that catching errant spacedivers might be more of the domain of the self-deployed breath-bubble, filled with an oxygen candle.
