Ok, to correct myself and be a bit pedantic; I guess technically it was Peggy Carter’s line, although delivered by Sharon. And although the Mark Twain writing was substantially the same idea, Cap’s rephrasing of it was punched up a bit. Amusingly the writer of that issue of Spiderman was none other than J. Michael Straczynski, better known for Babylon 5.
