**_[Perfect Pacifist People](http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PerfectPacifistPeople?ref=eldraeverse.com):_** Brutally, _brutally_ averted.  Any example of this that isn’t an abjectly poor tiny colony in a backwater of nowhere is already dead.  The few counterexamples are only _technically_ pacifist inasmuch as they have a client-state relationship or a  contract with someone like _Ultimate Argument Risk Control, ICC_, to do their fighting for them and not tell them about it. (Subverted by people like, say, the Imperials, who live in a comfortable utopia of peace and happiness – self-consciously safeguarded by the Right to Bear Arms ([and, occasionally, the right to arm bears](http://eldraeverse.com/2014/08/16/trope-a-day-horse-of-a-different-color/)), a willingness to shoot down anyone who fails to grasp that initiating violence is _disapproved of_ around here, and a military and militia both that their neighbors would have to be _insane_ to consider starting a war with.) Pacifism is impractical in a universe with bastards in it.  And it’s a big damn universe. * * * This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at [https://eldraeverse.com/2015/06/11/trope-a-day-perfect-pacifist-people](https://eldraeverse.com/2015/06/11/trope-a-day-perfect-pacifist-people) ---

But if you are not looking for a utopian outcome, their may be other reasons for it, like being a faithful disciiple of Christ.
