I have just read a headline about someone being replaced as CEO and “moving to an executive chair role”.

That sounds… much more entertainingly dystopian than it is, being just an abuse of language.

On Earth. In the Magen Corporate, for example, moving to an executive chair position is code for “have failed so epically your mind-state is now demoted to operating the new chairsoph’s butt-warmer”.

Of course, even that guy can be thankful he’s not in the hands of a Dorje flesh-peddling corpclan…

…y’know, with the right hardware and accessories, being an “executive chair” might appeal to some people with very interesting fetishes…

Those types are odd people. Met a small number, never grokked the mindset.

And I suspect that the Eldrae would consider wanting to be dominated and used as furniture a mental illness…
