I can see why Steam may decide they’re not going to risk liability for identity theft. I can’t find any “normal” tax or finance software on Steam either. I wonder if they could fix things by having the game generate the tax return without the personally identifying information, and then the ‘last level’ is instructions on how to fill in those items yourself?

(I don’t know how the USA tax forms work, so no idea if this is viable.)
