Let’s pretend I’m a human tourist in a decently sized Eldrae city-say a SF or Chicago-equivalent city. I decided to go and get lunch, and I go to a decent three-star restaurant, order lunch (no appetizers or dessert) for myself, and a glass of wine. Nothing fancy, and leave a reasonably-sized tip (15% and rounding up to the nearest dollar-equivalent).
How much money in the local currency have I spent?
Probably quite a bit. The tip implies you’re at a restaurant with sophont servers, so it’s likely to be significantly more expensive than a restaurant with non-sophont servers.
If we drop the tip part of it, then I think the answer is going to be an amount that western humans (not adjusting for the sheer scope of the Imperial economy) would consider to be in the upper-middle range - so probably a handful of Estyn (I think the conversion rate is an Estyn to about 20 dollars. It’s fairly iffy.)
If we don’t translate three-star into Imperial terms, then it’s probably not much at all since it’s vat food.
