Anyone out there can offer a chap some advice on what to seek out and watch in what order to consume the MGLN anime canon? Sources seem contradictory.

Primary anime series continuity is-

There is a manga (Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force) which is on hiatus since 2013. It is set vaguely between Striker S and ViVid.

There’s the “enhanced” movie adaptations of the first two series and the PSP-based timeline (third and fourth movies)-

Consider the movies to be the “big screen” remakes of the original stories, with trimmed plotlines and a lot of the side stories cut.

Also, Lyrical Nanoha is considered canon with Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA, mostly due to interdimentional hijinks and a single-shot doujinshi.

(The creators of both series are friends in real life and tend to draw a lot of fan art of each other’s creations.)
