I’ve been relying on traditional “read”/“unread” link coloring on the main topic page to determine what threads have been updated. Today that stopped working—all topics are colored the same. Tested in Safari 18.5 and Chrome 138.0.7204.157, both on OS X 13.7.6.
Hm. They may have done something to the theme. I’ll check.
P.S. Please send a reply to this to make it unread for me once more.
hello, a reply! Because I’m having the same issue too
Interesting. What theme are y’all using?
(This is me, using “Neutral”:
…and as you can see, there’s both the difference in shading and the unread count on the topic. So, having shown you mine, can you show me yours?)
Also, what’s your browser?
I am using the default theme, and can report that I just spent far too long hunting for the theme changing options (Discourse is NOT intuitive with their settings locations!).
I previously had little badges appear for all unread topics, but now seem to only be doing so for ones that I have previously engaged with. And the black and grey tones are close together for me, but that’s almost certainly my monitor settings compared to yours.
I shall try to remember to take a screenshot tomorrow/after someone says something somewhere, because right now I’ve read everything.
I am currently using Chrome Version 139.0.7258.67, except as soon as I went to look that up it started updating so who knows what I’ll have by tomorrow~
It seems to be fixed now.
